Psalm 118:24 “This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

God made this day, ordained this hour, designed the detail of this moment. He isn’t on vacation.  He still occupies the universe’s only throne.  Each day emerges from God’s drawing room.  No matter what the day might bring…give the day a chance, change your view and imitate the resolve of the Psalmist: “I will rejoice and be glad in it.”  God invites us to rejoice in the day HE HAS MADE.  Paul rejoiced in prison, David wrote psalms in the wilderness, Jonah prayed in the belly of a fish.  Paul and Silas sang in jail.  Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego remained resolute in the fiery furnace.  John saw heaven in his exile, and Jesus prayed in his garden of pain.  Could we make a decision to rejoice smack-dab in the midst of our day?  Imagine the difference if we could.  Choose to trust more. Stress less and amplify gratitude.  Mute grumbling and negativity, and start rejoicing right in the middle of every situation that the day may bring.  Knowing that God has a plan.  And because of His goodness and His love toward us, He will turn things around for your good.  You only have today.  “This is the day that the Lord has made.”  Live in it.  You must be present to win!  Don’t heavy today with regrets from yesterday. You might have messed up today, but you’ll mess up more if you allow yesterdays mistakes to sabotage today’s attitude.  Remember God’s mercies are new every morning.  So receive them. Always have a grateful heart and make a decision to rejoice!
